Kundalini yoga is also called the mother of Yoga. It is a thousand years old form of Yoga that came from the time, when all yoga disciplines were still united as one. The word yoga means union. By practicing yoga we connect ourselves (again) with all the aspects of our own being and with all the manifestations of the Creation.

The regular practice of yoga makes our body strong, vital and flexible and also makes our nervous system strong. It causes a proper flow of our body energies. Kundalini yoga brings relaxation to our body and our mind and helps us to purify our consciousness from disturbing emotional and mental patterns. By this we become more conscious of our own creative powers and our life purpose. Yoga also helps to develop your intuition and to lead a conscious and spiritual life in society.

Kundalini yoga is a dynamic form of yoga. During the yoga lessons we work with body postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama) and mudras (postures for the arms and hands). We also work with meditations.

Meditation purifies the sub-consciousness. During the exercises and meditations we often sing mantras. Mantras are sound vibrations that deeply influence our entire being. Mantras help us to overcome fears and to remove obstacles in ourselves. After the practice of a Kundalini yoga kriya (a couple of successive exercises) we end the class with a deep relaxation exercise.
